SAN FRANCISCO – September 4, 2020 – Clint Reilly Communications, owner and publisher of the Nob Hill Gazette and Gentry magazines, announced today that longtime publisher and media veteran Paul Reulbach has joined the organization as Chief Revenue Officer, a newly created role.
Reulbach brings more than 35 years of media and publishing experience to his new role, including tenures at San Francisco and Boston magazines. In his new role, he will oversee all elements of the company’s revenue strategy, leading the integrated sales and marketing team while developing and executing new product lines and solutions for advertisers.
“With our recent acquisition of Gentry magazine, it was crucial that we find an experienced, ambitious leader to conduct the business side of our operation,” said Clint Reilly, President and Chairman of Clint Reilly Communications. “Paul has deep knowledge of our market and a formidable business skill set. I know he will find new and exciting ways to engage our audience on behalf of our partners.”
A native of the Boston region and graduate of Northeastern University, Reulbach was named publisher of Boston magazine in 2003. In that role, he oversaw the development of numerous new products, a custom publishing division, sponsorship programs, strategic partnerships, and events. He moved west in 2014 to serve as publisher of Modern Luxury’s San Francisco magazine, a position from which he launched Silicon Valley magazine in 2016.
Reulbach joins the Reilly organization from Palm Springs Life magazine, where he also served as publisher. He returns to the Bay Area with his wife Christina and their three children, who are currently attending college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UCLA and Occidental.
“I’m excited to be joining such a dynamic and talented team,” said Reulbach. “Janet and Clint Reilly have taken the Gazette to new heights, and in a difficult environment in which the entire world seems to be in retreat, it’s refreshing to be part of an organization that’s playing offense.”
